All Windows versions load many services at startup. Most of them (not all) are essential to the core system features. By disabling unnecessary services, performance can be can be improved significantly ,especially on computers with low system resources. Here are some of the Windows services that you can safely disable:
– Print Spooler (if you don’t use a printer or print-to-PDF)
– Bluetooth Support (if you don’t use any Bluetooth devices)
– Remote Registry (this is not usually enabled by default, but if is you can disable it for safety)
– Remote Desktop (3 services, which you can disable if you don’t use this)
Easy Service Optimizer makes it easy for the novice to disable unneeded services!

– Windows 10 service List Updated (Windows 10 Creators update 1803 support added)
Easy Service Optimizer (ESO) is portable freeware to optimize services for almost all Windows versions (except for Win 98 and before). It does not require any technical knowledge and is safe to use because it only changes the startup state of the service, and settings are easy to restore. You can customize a pre-selected list, or create your own.
How to Use
After unzipping, run the program. ESO will detect your operating system, and show the appropriate Windows services list. You now have 4 choices :
1. Default (your current list of services)
2. Safe (a no risk selection)
3. Tweaked (an optimized selection)
4. Extreme (a high level of optimization)
After making a selection, click the ‘Apply Settings’ button.
NOTE: These lists include only services capable of optimization (not all of them). Adding a new service and changing its startup type can cause your system to become unstable. Please be careful. We do not accept responsibility for any mistakes..
You can easily change the service lists. You can add, edit, or delete a service. You can start, stop, or restart a service. Editing the list only changes the service’s startup type. For example, if you delete the service named ‘bthserv’ (Bluetooth), it only means you do not want to optimize that service. ESO will never delete the actual file
Reset services list
If you want to load the default list, just choose ‘Services –> Reset Service List’
In the Service menu, you can see the supported operating system services list as well.
Save Current services list
If you want to save the current list, select ‘File –> Save As’
On the same menu, you can create a .reg file or open a saved services list, and choose one to edit, or apply.
Add a new service or edit existing
By clicking the ‘Add’ button, you can add a new service to the list. You can edit an existing service by using the ‘Edit selected service’ button. In the Edit Service dialog, you can change the startup type, restore type, or change the state of a pre-set group.
Easy Service Optimizer also offers command line support, as displayed here:

I’ve been trying to find a Toll Like This for years.
When you use Audio Recording Software aka DAWS
or Digital Audio Workstations the equal of a $300k Recording Studio in a PC. You need as much RAM as you can get and to keep other programs from interrupting your work. like an automated system
Backup or anything that reads & writes or makes calls to the drives can destroy many hours of your work & time & require you to try to recreate a magic moment. Thanks I will be careful
Thank you for this tool !
There are different Windows versions (home, pro, 32 bit, 64 bit etc.) Some of them may have extra services Or if we install some feature it can be set up as a windows service therefore If a service on the eso list is not installed on the system, it is listed as Not Exist
Using Window 7 Pro x64, ESO 1.2 (using ‘Run as administrator’) shows a ‘TBS’ service with a status of ‘Not exist’.
Using Window 10 Home 1709 Fall Creators Update x64, ESO 1.2 (using ‘Run as administrator’) shows a ‘CscService’ service with a status of ‘Not exist’.
These unknown services don’t appear in services.msc nor in the registry nor in the .reg file that ESO creates for each OS. (CscService appears to be Offline Files… but a search of C: shows no sign of CscService.exe, even with ‘Hidden’ and ‘System’ files toggled to ‘Show’.)
Suggestion: Perhaps add a ‘Open registry’ entry in the ‘Service’ menu, similar to ‘Open Windows services’?
I see this software first time in sordum Archive
I love your work, I really do!!
But (you knew that was coming) as is so often the case within your industry, given instruction, user guidance is of the type of level for which I routinely hand out ”invitations” to my 20 minute after school detentions. Poor performance, conduct, + a wide range of crimes are reflected upon + in the brief term of remand I aim to instill but one thing. Regret, or remorse, they’re both welcome, + in most cases the relevant failings are found to be regrettable, therefore, you could claim, I do, at least some reform has been gained. Of course, it should now be quite clear that what has, in actual fact, taken place is a minor miracle………….
Your guidelines are missing a very important issue: do the results of running the application are automatically saved for next Windows session? Do you need to run it after each start of Windows?
we have no info about it
why is blackviper site offline?
Лучшая утилита по настройке служб, что я встречал. (The best tool for setting up services)
backed up service settings
What does the restore type column mean ? Startup type is the current state, apply type is the state You want it to be (depends on default, safe, tweaked an extreme), but I don’t know wat restore type means.
nice application 🙂 in the future would be useful if you could add right click option to virustotal and to description of the service maybe with a suggestion, kinda like -the ultimate troubleshooter-, this would make your tool really nicer, keep up the super good work you do 🙂
1 Thank you ★★★★★
