If you’ve been searching the web to understand how to test image files in QEMU, you’ve come to the right place. Our freeware, QEMU Simple Boot, simplifies the process.. It is a generic machine emulator and virtualizer. What does this mean? Imagine you have an ISO file which needs testing. You would first need to burn it to a disc, wasting time and a CD/DVD, or you could install a virtual drive and mount the ISO. But there is an easier way … QEMU Simple Boot.
how to use it:
Download the ZIP and extract it to the folder of your choice, then run Qsib.exe. The application is is very simple to use – just drag and drop your .iso, .ima or .img file(s) into the window, and click “Start QEMU Test”. (There is also a checkbox letting you optionally close the program after QEMU has started). You can also use the plus (+) button located near the bottom right of the window to manually select an image file. A slider bar in the top right allows you to choose how much system RAM to to allocate to the test.
In addition, the Menu button in the bottom right of the window allows you to:
– test your USB, CD/DVD images and discs
– easily test your multiboot menu workout
– change the language (found in qsib.ini). Turkish, English and German languages are pre-installed.
QEMU Simple Boot is both portable and free.
NOTE: Please don’t use QEMU Simple Boot to test Windows OS images. It was designed for quickly testing boot loaders for USB flash drives or small image files with low resource requirements. It was not designed to be a full virtualization environment.

I think you should update Quemu version.
You can use Vmware Workstation or Virtual Box to test larger iso files.
Hello a big greeting for this app, but I have some problems in my laptop lenovo t420, I can not test iso to 64bit, give me error, if they could fix that, I have already tested with different versions of windows and nothing, I have active virtualization, nothing. another thing like I can make a bridge between guest system*(in qemu) and host(windows) to share internet, add wifi antennas usb style vware or vbox.
New version is required, usb support and high ram usage should be activated now.I expect you to integrate it into new versions of quemu.
(merhaba; yeni versiyon lazım artık usb desteği ve yüksek ram kullanımı aktifleştirilmeli.quemu nun yeni versiyonlarına entegre etmenizi bekliyorum.)
When I boot any usb/hdd for multiboot,
screen came out but and them freeze not boot properly.
Other tools like this are work fine.
Have you any idea.
Multiboot:(aLTay multiboot-tnctr)
Ellerinize sağlık.
Unfortunatelly it is a qemu restriction
great program, although i cant get it to add more ram than 1024. most programs wont run. is there a way to extend to 2gb or 4gb?
error…
exit code:1
I’m not trying to run windows ISO’s. I’m just trying to run some utilities that are in ISOs, but they are 64 bit. It looks like qemu has a 64 bit version. Can you add it to your utility so we can also run 64 bit stuff?
Web Link …
Qemu is a simple emulator and usually used to check the media’s boot menu / startup. Windows cannot be loaded through this emulator
Any 64 bit version of Qemu for this? When I run ISO’s I get a BSOD from the ISO saying the machine isn’t 64 bit.
it is a QEMU limitation
Hi, is there a way to assign more RAM to QEMU Simple Boot or it is a QEMU limitation?
1 GB is usualy OK, but sometimes I need to test really heavy SO boot images and 1 GB is really low.
Thanks!
Try it with another ISO file
test it on iso not able to boot
Boot failed: could not read from CDRO (code 0003)
Please give this awesome Tool some love 🙂
Tried to update the Qemu part myself but I get "Exit Code1".
Fixed thank you.
