Removable Access Tool (a.k.a. Ratool) is a simple to use portable freeware application which aids in the control of external storage devices such as USB flash drives, CD/DVD drives, as well as floppy, tape and WPD devices. Ratool can disable USB storage access or enable write protection on all USB flash drives, thus preventing data from being modified or deleted, protecting your confidential data from being copied by others.
There are many such tools available online, but they are often easily circumvented. For example, if you use one of these USB disablers to disable a flash drive, someone could simply use another tool and enable it again. This means these tools are not actually protecting your USB ports, which is why we created Ratool. By using Ratool, you won’t have to worry about this, as other tools cannot easily break Ratool’s protection.

Wow what a perfect tool i ever seen ,i have been hustling to find a way to remove write protection from my USB drive for so long but I didn’t get any way or tool that could help but when I got this app I didn’t have hope that is going to work , unfortunately it worked properly and for very short time like 5 sec. Thanks goes to the one who made this thing
Ratool does not block USBs during the boot process.
You should go into your computer’s BIOS and check the USB related settings. There may be a setting that prevents USBs or booting from USB.
Hi, your tool is very easy to use, but I am now encountering a problem that someone will take the PE system installed on the USB flash drive to bypass the login password of the system, and carry out unauthorized disk access, I wonder if your software can solve my problem in the future? Looking forward to your reply, thank you!
Seems to be brilliant and ingenious. I will try it, so that nobody can connect in my absence to my pc with an usb-stick that is not mine.
We are really tired of someone asking for Ratool password recovery every day, 99% of these requests are made by children trying to crack the passwords in schools, libraries, etc. There is also password hint in the software, do not use Ratool if you cannot remember a simple password.
Hi , thank you , We have noted it down
Good morning, is possible obtain a logfile generated during the activities of Ratool 1,4 ? I need a trace file of all activities (es. date and time of lock USB, idem for unlock etc.etc). best regards
Hi,
I’m using this tool for a forensics class. Can you explain how USB read & write is blocked in Windows 10. All can I see in Local Group Policy editor is that read is disable for removable storage devices. Nothing on write.
